smelling good can be bad
I've read from somewhere that fragrance is actually BAD. Apparently from this source, it frequent triggers headaches, especially migraines. It is due to some synthetic version of the aromatic chemicals and that it affects the olfactory system. In addition, the anecdotal evidence suggests a significant effect of fragrances on the central nervous system.
Now I know why I get these irritating headaches. Thankfully I'm not into fragrance.

chauffeuring is my occupation
Nithe is busy with his stupid SIP again and being the supportive gf, I've become a part-time student, full time chauffeur since he has to be at SGH from 630am till 7pm. Not that school's any different but juz thankful that most of my datelines and presentations are over =)

weak and spineless
I'm freaking pissed about something now but I know if I'm to say it even though it's the truth, it will make me the bad guy. I feel spineless for not standing up for what I truly feel but I don't want a stupid issue to be blown up. So for now, I'm juz gonna keep it in but when one day I've decided that i'm done with those people, screw them.

london london
Nithe's cousin is leaving for London to do Masters of Music in Royal College of Music. He's involved in so many ministries in church, worship, sunday school, musicians, BSF etc. Nithe was saying that he's one of those people that the church can't do without. Luckily he'll be back almost every 2 months.

uncertain times
My mum was telling me that when times are bad like now, 2 groups of people are first on the chopping block. Newly employed, inexperienced with little contribution to the company, or mega senior executives receiving a huge pay cheque, enough to save a handful of regular staffs. She seems worried but also doesn't mind an early retirement. Amidst all these uncertainties, we can juz hope for the best.

spend no more
I'm having this renewed obsession over an item that will BURN my wallet. My eyes are set on it and it's gonna be juz a matter of time. A really really long time. But meanwhile, it can act as a motivation to prevent me from spending more =) If only my mum sees the beauty in it.

photosensitizer, chlorin e6-polyvinylpyrrolidone blah
Despite a very hectic upcoming week with 2 back to back presentations and 1 project report due, I still managed to unwind by attending 2 sale events. NUS vanity fair was a bummer this year but I still managed to get what I intended to so YAY =) Also, there was Electicism sale where I got a real good deal from Rachel Pally (convertible dress) and Twelfth Street By Cynthia Vincent (floor sweeping maxi dress). Dresses that were selling at >USD$200 were going for < $60

A night of songs
Nithe's cousin had this private song recital at the Arts House where he was the accompanist cum composer of a song. It's one of those super artsy vocal recitals with French and German songs, melodies and tempo with no catch, loss in translation . It's totally up to you to interprete and imagine based on the expressions of the artist.

It's this really cosy 'living room' with beautiful deco with sitting capacity of about 70

my new high
Thousand things going through your mind within that few seconds. You talk to yourself, visualize and prepare yourself for it. But when it happens, your mind suddenly blanks. Psychomotor and instinct takes over and when you try to recall what juz happened seconds ago, it feels like you've juz woken up from a dream, the type you can't put your finger to. The acceleration, take-off, arm extension, swing in, invert, bringing your toes and hip up, the turn, the release, the landing and the rejoice. There's something to look forward to in every detail, something currently intangible yet addictive. The hunger for 'the feeling' is consuming me. Looking forward to the day when I can actually connect my thoughts to my actions and be fully aware of what I'm doing =)

oktoberfest 2008
After missing last year's Oktoberfest, I was determined to attend this year's and so I grabbed a few of my BIE pals and ta-dah, another Thursday night out =) We were kinda loss at times because the MC was speaking random German.

BIE Babes

I felt kinda cheated because I paid $54 expecting free flow of food and beer. But I guess free flow beer is a dream and no drinks were not included so it's additional cost. As such, we had to photo whore as much, eat until we can't stuff anymore, and have the best time to make our money worthwhile.

There was this group of NUH cardio doctors sitting the table adjacent to us. Most of them were fat and balding and downing shots like teenagers. I told you booze is good for your heart =)

The food was great and more than enough to full 2000 people. That humongous animal weighs a wooping 200kg and spends 20hrs over a flame to feed 1 day of hungry people. Lots of potato and meat, my favorite =)

Live band + booze = ....

I'm on the top of the world =)
