it's finally over
I'm officially done with Baxter. 7 months of waking up at 640am, daily 10 mins walk up the slope from Kranji MRT, all OVER! I don't think I'll miss it. hahaha.

They gave me 1 month bonus for outstanding performance =)

My colleague gave me this sticker awhile back and in place of a name plague, I've stuck this on the entrance of my office.

After digging out all my personal items, I conveniently dumped every other piece of paper on my desk. Who's gonna bother anyway?

I'm off

Hong Kong / Macau
For 5 days, we did nothing but eat, shop and sleep. We went hunting for all the local delights, squeeze on public transport, struggled to converse in their language and shop in style. It was short, tiring but very enjoyable. Didn't buy much for myself but Nithe had a great harvest. I merely bought 7 items and the cost of the Hugo Boss coat he bought is almost my total shopping expenditure. He has his way of making me feel guilty about shopping.

Nithe's shopping philosophy for me,
don't buy any shoes above S$100, don't buy any bag above S$1000

The photos shall do the talking

nationals track and field finals
Totally enjoyed it, totally missed it. Have been out of the arena for over 2 years but the feeling and passion is as though it was yesterday. Even though all the athletes are different, tons of records broken, there were still many familiar faces. Coaches and officials who knew me since the beginning. It's a nice feeling to see people who still remember me =)
This is my sis's last Nationals and they ended it with a bang, bagging golds for both relays and the A division championship trophy. Despite 7 golds, 1 silver, 2 bronzes I've contributed throughout all 6 years of national schools, my team only won championship once in C division. Championship would mean so much more if it's your final season.
I joined the Nanyang Team for dinner and I felt really old. After my sis's batch, I officially won't know a single junior from both Nanyang and Hwa Chong.

A Div Champion

curly squirmy worm
I was feeling curious about how I would look with curls so I borrowed Nithe's mum's ceramic heat rollers to experiment. My verdict, save the money and be contented.

pre hk
For the past weeks, I kept restraining my spending to save for HK. But Sat at Haji Lane with WL was simply too hard to resist. Even though both of us have HK plans, it didn't seem to bother us (maybe juz me). Scored a cute dress for $15(!!!) and a vintage Burberry cross body sling purse. It could have been a killing if not for their cash/NETS only payment. I happily went shopping with $7 in my wallet and my new useless UOB debit card which they smartly replaced NETS with EZLink function. I seriously hate that card. Once my card was rejected twice when I tried paying via NETS.

if only
It's 4.20am Monday morning and my heart is broken =(

4hr 48 mins of heartstopping, butterfly in stomach on court action, 2 rain breaks, lotz of ups and downs, jumping and squirming. Brilliant display of tennis but a heartbreaking finish. Federer is pure magic. He has this aura and elegance on court unlike Nadal who always contorts his face and makes all sorts of noises when hitting the ball. Nadal is a worthy opponent but I'm juz a Federer's fan.

Sometimes, even legends bow down to defeat. It's juz part of the game.

tennis candies
All tennis stars should look like them. Dominating on courts and presentable in public.

Wimbledon Serves Up Some Centre Court Style
I've been watching so much tennis the past week and have been in a huge sleep deficit, like 4-5 hrs of sleep daily and then dragging my sad ass to work. It's not the results that are making the headlines at Wimbledon this year; it's what the players are wearing. Sharapova wore a pair of Tiffany's Swing Triple Drop Diamond Earrings, worth around £250,000 to play! Juz felt that it was a pity that wild card Zheng Jie wasn't able to defeat monster to play against creature.
